A stunning animal! Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum near Tuscon

I was happy to find this beauty. I yelled out "Zebra-tailed Lizard!" as it scurried in front of some people and they thought it was really cool.

What a uniquely colored lizard - cool spotting!
Awesome. And I can't wait for it to really warm up...once spring gets rollin', it's on! Such an exciting time of year.. :D
I will certainly try! There's a spot in Palo Duro I've seen them at before, will start checking it when it warms up!
I thought it was a male...nice! Yeah they are awesome. Oh yes...that guy was seriously AMAZING! A big individual too. If you find a stunning adult male like that, you better get a good shot! (I know that's not always possible haha).
Nice male! I haven't gotten to see one of these beauties yet. I love the earless lizards, and this is basically just a more colorful version, what's not to love? Still need to find me a nice colorful male collared lizard like you got, in a few months they should be everywhere down here!
