Anthurium andraeanum
This club shaped red flower has a waxy looking surface. It contains both male and female parts allowing it to self pollinate. This flower contains a solitary spathe. A spathe is petal-like, attracting pollinators to the flowers arranged on a type of spike called a spadix.
