Wasp mimic mirid bug

Rayieria basifer

Description:

About 6mm long overall. At first I thought this was a tiny wasp or a bibionid fly. Checking the pictures later proved it to be a type of Mirid bug. The similarity to some braconid wasps is extraordinary.

Habitat:

Hiding in a leaf axil on a small acacia in a local nature reserve. Kings.

Notes:

This is a wasp which might be the target mimic http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/145...
