False Katipo

Steatoda capensis

Description:

I have been finding females with egg sacks on every fifth piece of fire wood on my parents wood pile, along with slugs, woodlice, and a beetle grub—maybe the huhu. I've tried to relocate the female spiders to similar sheltered places with their egg sacks.
