White-winged Dove

Zenaida asiatica

Description:

Common dove of the southern states. Similar to the Mourning Dove with a more of a gray coloring, and also lacks spots on the back of the wings. The white wings are noticed when wings are closed and they appear as stripes in flight. Tail has a rounded end.

Habitat:

Spotted in a urban community desert oasis
