Caribbean Scoliid Wasp

Dielis dorsata

Habitat:

disturbed fields near wooded areas

Notes:

Apparently these have recently become established here in Dade-County from the Caribbean. This is the second location that I've spotted them. This is a female. Males have a slightly different color pattern in yellow.
