Autumn leaf butterfly

Description:

Autmn leaf is a nymphalid butterfly found in India, also found in Australia and South East Asia where they are also known as Leafwing. It has an average of 2 to 2.5 inches wingspan. male and female have the same patter but the male is a bit smaller.

Habitat:

It has wide range of habitat from wild forest to open fields, cultivated and populated land. It can also be found in urban parks and gardens and it is on the wings year round.
