Red-backed Jumping Spider

Phidippus clarus

Description:

Quick jumping spider, with a black body and a red back. The female (pictured) has a black stripe down the center of its back.

Habitat:

Grasslands

Notes:

Any help on a specific species would be appreciated. I glanced at (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phidippus_j...) but this seems to be a western species, not sure if it makes it out to Del.

I think you have a male Phidippus clarus here. They occur over a lot of the USA including most of the East Coast.
