Description:

Callimetopus capito Pascoe 1865 (family Cerambycidae, subfamily Lamiinae, tribe Pteropliini), is known from the Philippines. This long-horned beetle is about 3.5 cm in length. It feeds on Mangifera indica, Barringtonia asiatica, and Terminalia catappa. Cerambycidae's larvae are called roundheaded borers, boring into wood and can cause damage to living trees. Lamiinae adults are commonly called flat-faced longhorns.

Habitat:

Backyard at Biñan, Laguna.
