Eriophora transmarina?
Golden yellow & orange marked spider, large bulbous abdomen, tiny black eyes, spiky legs. Closest identification found so far. Spider measured approx. 1.5cm body only.
Found on felled Stringybark tree on leaf with silken web attached to leaf in dry woodland forest.

Yeah, up close and personal. Sweet pic. I wonder where the other four eyes are? She's gotta have them somewhere.
Thanks Maria dB. It was initially overlooked as a leaf gall or gumnut as it looked almost identical amongst the leaves.
