Clearwing wasp moth/Handmaiden moth

Syntomoides imaon

Description:

A handmaiden moth also called Arctiid Moth, has three golden yellow circumferential body stripes with wings having clear patches or windows between black lines.

Habitat:

I have found the same species on two occasions, first in Kashmir and then in Rawalpindi, Online sources don't give any account of this species in Pakistan

Notes:

This wasp like appearance is an example of batesian mimicry. http://www.flickr.com/photos/itchydogima... http://www.mothsofborneo.com/part-6/synt...
