Brown-throated Three-toed Sloth

Bradypus variegatus

Description:

Slow-moving, white and greyish-coated sloth with the usual black mask and long, white "toes"

Habitat:

Spotted in a tree some two minutes inland from the sea, just south of Punta Uva on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. Hot, dry day.
