Cassiopea frondosa

Habitat:

shallow coastal areas, mangrove, grass bottoms.

Notes:

Very common in the shallow mangrove areas of the Florida Keys. They have an algae that lives in it's tentacles that photosynthesizes food for them, thus they sit upside down in shallow areas were sunlight is plentiful.
