Ovis canadensis
Bighorn sheep can be found in a variety of habitats from alpine meadows to deserts...In the Northwest, these large animals can be found in uneven rocky terrain and living in large flat rocks which provides some protection from predators. North-South range from southwest Canada to Mexico, West-East range from California to North Dakota
Sometimes used as indicators of land heath as Bighorn sheep are sensitive to human activity.
