Leccinum Mushroom

Leccinum sp.

Description:

Looks like an old Leccinum mushroom that has been stepped on and now bears a shoe imprint. First thing I thought when I saw it was that it looked like a crop circle mushroom. Cap was tan, pores were rotting, and the stem (also rotting) appeared to have once been yellow/brown and reticulated.

Habitat:

Spotted growing on the ground in a deciduous forest.
