Description:

44 - 55 cm. in length. This fish has a blunt snout, a large, dark eye, and series of obvious, bony rays leading from the dorsal fin to the tail. There is also a series of sharp scales along the anterior portion of the lateral line.

Habitat:

Photos were taken near Shark Ray Alley of the Hol Chan Marine Sanctuary in Belize.
