Giant Bamboo forest

Description:

atmospheric giant bamboo forest, bamboo is the tallest and fastest growing grass

Habitat:

subtropical valley

Notes:

I spotted this at Jinshagou Nature Reserve. It was an extremely wet place. The concrete path through the reserve was insanely slippery. I had to walk very slow or walk beside it when I can. Thankfully I only fell once! It was a great small reserve that I had all to myself. It had many signboards in english about the different plants but it had nothing about the bamboo, the most abundant plant in the reserve! So I'm not sure which species this is. Very cool being inside a bamboo forest like this. Scenes from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, where filmed in a forest just like this a few hundred kilometers from where I was.
