Description:

A first visit to our back garden by this grass seed gatherer! Shot through the window of our office. It sat on the Bramley apple tree and wire protecting our wild and kitchen garden from our puppies. Length 14cm (5.25 inch) Wingspan 20cm (8 inch) Deep Blue overall (Female sometimes blue on wing tips - but generally light brown) Food - Seeds, Insects - Fruit.

Habitat:

Migrates from Mexico , S Florida and Central America (at night)
