Cuckoo wasp - ? Male

Primeuchroeus sp.

Description:

This cuckoo wasp was about 5 or 6 mm long and had a more metallic blue colouring when compared with the female wasp. The thoracic plates appeared less dramatic and slightly smoother. Abdomen might have had dark banding. Pic 2 shows the male on the left and the female on the right. The female can be seen in
http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/124...

Habitat:

Spotted flying around the outside of a building but seemed to be attraced to the female ( Pic 2).

Notes:

I am assuming that the males are smoother and not requiring armour-plating as much as the females do because they do not oviposit and therefore less vulnerable to attacks. This assumption needs checking ! Family: Chrysididae
