Red-rumped swallow

Hirundo daurica

Description:

Similar to a barn swallow but has bulkier body and tail streamer curve inwards. Adult has blue-black upperparts except for buffish-orange nape and pale rump. Underparts, including underwing, pale; shows streaks on breast.

Habitat:

Widespread and common.

Notes:

On wires outside my house.
