Elm Leaf Beetle Eggs

Pyrrhalta luteola

Description:

The eggs of the Elm Leaf Beetle were seen on this elm tree with decimated leaves. The eggs were seen in a cluster - each a cream coloured sphere with a tapering tip.

Habitat:

Spotted on an elm tree in a sports field. The leaves on this tree had scores of beetles

Notes:

The beetles are about 5 mm long, green with black markings as seen in Pic 2.

Ah the Elm Beetle I remember that from the FFA entomology contests I went to. They are an interesting species. nice capture of the eggs. Keep it up.
