Amethyst Olive

Oliva annulata

Description:

Also referred to as Oliva amethystina, a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Olividae (the olives).

Habitat:

Indo-Pacific distribution, at depths of 1 to 48m.

Notes:

Spotted this cone-shaped sea shell at the Dayang Beach dive site, Talikud Island, Samal, Philippines. It measured 3.5cm in length.

Looks to me like one of the Oliva annulata varieties.

It's an Oliva species (Olive shell). Don't know which. Look through here...have fun lol:
