This is the log-cabin-like case of the New Guinea casemoth / bagworm moth Cryptothelea fuscescens, family Psychidae.

Habitat:

Spotted on Bougainvillea sp. in a large semi-urban yard & garden adjacent to a disturbed remnant patch of forest.
