rickymapabenitez, I don't think they are harmful to the calamansi plant. I am an agriculturist and I have observed them for years on my calamansi plant and I have not noticed that they harm the plant.

are they bad for the fruit? I started spotting them on our calamansi plant, and the fruit they were staying on would prematurely ripen, become yellow, and fall off.
