Description:

A beautiful motmot, common in northwest Costa Rica. They have a distinct broad tuquoise band above each eye, and a large amount of featherless shaft on their tail.

Habitat:

Lowland scrub foest

Notes:

Was quite easy to photograph, allowing a relatively close approach. I never got tired of seeing these!
