Texas Spiny Lizard

Sceloporus olivaceus

Description:

I took the photo of the burl forming on this Post Oak tree for the Bark's Stories Mission. It was only after downloading it, that I realized I'd had a silent observer. It blended into the bark so well, I never even noticed it.

Habitat:

Wooded section of greenbelt.
