Description:

Shells of a small sea snail; 4 - 15 mm; elongate, conical, covered in rounded nodules; spiral bands vary in dull shades of brown, beige, yellow ocher, and white. "Thrives in hypersaline conditions; sometimes literally millions are found in drying lagoons."

Habitat:

Spotted on the Gulf of Aqaba and Suez shores; common in all the Egyptian Red Sea
