12-Spotted Ladybird Beetle

Epilachna indica

Description:

This is a Ladybird Beetle that i found on eggplant tree in my backyard. This Ladybird Beetle is orange in color, and has 12 black spots on its back. The size of this Ladybird Beetle is about 4 - 5 mm long.

Habitat:

- Around the garden and bushes.

Notes:

- This Ladybird Beetle is an insect from family Coccinellidae. It is one of the pests for eggplant. An adult of Epilachna indica has 12 black spot differentiating it from Epilachna vigintioctopunctata (28-Spotted Ladybird Beetle). Distribution - http://www.discoverlife.org/mp/20q?searc...
