Coenagrion puella
About 3 to 4 cm in length, some 5 in wingspan. The male is easily recognized by its striking azure blue and black markings on abdomen.
Widespread and one of the commonest damselflies in Europe. Here, seen around the small pond (Photo N° 2), situated in a local park, big wooded area with a meadow and a pond. The park itself is at the outskirts of the small town, in a rather rural area in lowlands around Geneva lake (lac Leman), just between Alps and Jura mountain ranges
