Description:

Large (6 to 7 cm wingspan) butterfly. It is mainly dark brown with white pattern above; and a cream one below.

Habitat:

This is an European species, usually found in light woodland and grasslands. Here, seen in rural, hilly and well wooded environment, close to a park of Pilat in France.
