Conus taeniatus
"The shell of a cone snail, a marine mollusc. The snails within this family are sophisticated predatory animals. They hunt and immobilize prey using a modified radular tooth along with a venom gland containing neurotoxins; the tooth is launched out of the snail's mouth in a harpoon-like action." ~ wiki
Spotted along the Gulf of Aqaba shore. Common in the Egyptian Red Sea, but rare in the Gulf of Suez.
"Like all species within the genus Conus, these snails are predatory and venomous. They are capable of "stinging" humans, therefore live ones should be handled carefully or not at all." ~wiki
