Turkey Vultures

Description:

Turkey vultures are very large with long wings, long tail, small head. Two toned look to underwing, black wing-linings against grey flight feathers. They soar with wings held in a shallow V.

Habitat:

Lake Belton. Dozens of vultures can usually be seen soaring on the air currents around the dam and lake. At night they roost in the trees below the dam.
