Coral Fungus

Clavulina vinaceocervina

Description:

Purplish pink fingers protruding out of moist ground. The surface was powdery and knobbly. Spore print was white (pic1).

Habitat:

On damp soil in eucalypt forest. The forest floor would have had moss but most of it was disturbed by Lyrebirds that live in this gully.
