Description:

Large dark Salamander with yellow spots

Habitat:

During the majority of the year, Spotted Salamanders live in the shelter of leaves or burrows in deciduous forests and will move to vernal pools in early Spring to breed

Notes:

Found migrating to vernal pool to breed, Lantern Court, The Holden Arboretum, Lake County, Kirtland, OH
