Description:

The Single-dotted Wave (Idaea dimidiata) is a moth of the family Geometridae. It is found throughout Europe. The moth generally flies to thistles and Purple Moor Grass. The species has a wingspan of 13–18 mm. The adults fly at night from June to August, occasionally later, and are attracted to light. The species prefers damp locations such as marshy woodland, fens and river banks.
