Found this moth in the sand under live oak trees during daylight hours...

Thank you J....I was on the lawn mower and looked down to see this tiny thing...I thought it looked like it was wiggling around in the sandy soil and it only half fluttered around so we put it in a safe place away from the lawnmower!! From what you are saying, they must be like a butterfly when it first emerges!! Thanks!

Looks like a newly eclosed moth to me. The wings would have spread into "normal" position after a few hours.
