Lizards are not something I know a lot about, but I suspect I might have the id of your lizard.

Not a chameleon...maybe a Calotes sp.?

any idea about what species it is, i found it on the old shoes in my trash bin

I'm not sure if that's a chameleon it might be a closely related species

any idea about the scientific name?
