Wild Strawberries

Fragaria virginiana

Description:

These little red strawberries are delicious! It would take an awful lot of them to make jelly or jam but as a snack in the woods you can't go wrong.

Habitat:

These were found above the Indian Henry campgrounds in the Mt Hood National Forest of Oregon.

Notes:

My grandmother grows wild strawberries in her yard as ground cover.
