It has been very hot & dry! Unfortunately TN is a landlocked state & we are many hours from the ocean! Our groundhogs started to sit in the big water bowl be put out for them! I've not managed to get a photo yet but hopefully I will.

Hottest year on record for the States, isn't it? I think I read that the other day. Global warming! Our temps have been over 40 C most days...so I am thankful for the time I can spend in the water. :-)

Thanks Bernadette! Actually it's been in the high 90's here too & not much about during the day so I'm making most of my spots after the hours of darkness!

Well, I'm envious of your moths and all the distractions!! It's so hot here, the only spottings I make are under water. :-)

Thanks Bernadette! Yes, that's very true! I've been leaving lights on at night to attract the moths but they have been bringing in all sorts of other critters (mainly spiders & centipedes after a tasty moth!) so I keep getting sidetracked!

Nice! With the shadows in the fist pic, looks like he could be telling scary stories around a campfire.
