KathleenMcEachern, the photos were taken at Lost Lagoon - west side of Stanley Park. Unusual to spot them so close to the ground - usually have only seen them fly overhead in flocks.

I am also wanting more specific details of where the photos are taken as it looks like it is in the Mt Pleasant area of Vancouver. I would love to try to see some again this coming winter. Where exactly did you see them? thanks!
