Four-toothed Nerites

Nerita versicolor

Habitat:

higher, less frequently inundated portions of the intertidal zone, will retreat into rock crevices to avoid wave action and high temperatures during the day

Notes:

There were quite a few number of different marine snails on these rocks. This spotting is concerned with the 2 larger shells in the center. The other smaller more numerous being Interrupted Periwinkles.
