Leucochloris albicollis
While many hummingbirds have green and white plumage, the vibrant shades on the white-throated hummingbird (Leucochloris albicollis) make it exceptionally beautiful. The bird’s head, flanks, chest and back are an iridescent green that may show shades of turquoise or teal in bright light, while the throat and abdomen are a starkly contrasting white. These are common birds easily found in Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina and Bolivia.
