Dwarf Sundew

Drosera brevifolia

Description:

A small carnivorous plant that traps insects with the "dew" on its leaves. The dew, or mucilage, is actually produced by the plant to attract and trap prey. You can see some of it sticking to my finger in photo 2. There were many extremely tiny ones have covered in sand. During the rainy season, I find a lot of more them in this area. You can see that even the flower bud and stalk have little "hairs" on them

Habitat:

Sandy pine and oak forest
