Bush Cricket

Phaneroptera sp

Description:

Well camouflaged among vegetation, it measured around 4cm from head to the wing tips. Green colour overall with an orange/brown line where the two fore wings meet. This could be a falcata male, but I'm not sure about their distribution.

Habitat:

Found on an avocado plantation in arid coastal region, in Moulay Bousselham.

Notes:

Katydids (Tettigoniidae) are usually called Bush Crickets in Europe.
