Orange Flatid Planthopper

Family Flatidae

Habitat:

On a Pittosporum heavy with fruit under Scribbly Bark and Red Gums on a Coastal Remnant Forest Ridge in a suburb. ((Pittosporum undulatum or Sweet Pittosporum (Native Trees and Shrubs of South-eastern Australia: Leon Costerman))

Notes:

This was an exciting little find but I have not been able to make a better identification so far. I am also tossed between pink or orange.

Thanks Leanne, That tiny little wood seems to be providing some nice finds. I wish I could have hunted here before it was a suburb

Nice find Stephen. I've never seen one this colour anywhere.
