Amblyptilia acanthadactyla

Description:

The wingspan is 17–23 millimetres (0.67–0.91 in). The moth flies nearly year round. The larvae feed on various low growing plants.

Habitat:

Amblyptilia acanthadactyla is a moth of the family Pterophoroidea that can be found in Europe. It is also known from Iran[1] and Georgia.

These are awesome! i spotted one a few days ago. Was able to release it through the rip in the wire mesh.

Three of these photos are of a plume moth in the genus Amblyptilia, probably Amblyptilia acanthadactyla, although there may be other possible species in Portugal.

The fourth photo is almost certainly of Emmelina monodactyla, although it may be another Emmelina species.
