Aythya collaris
A flock of about 100 Ring-necked Ducks in a large pond. This flock has been coming here for about 2 weeks, only missing a couple days when the pond was frozen over. Females are brown - they were outnumbered with about 10 males per every 1 female in the group.
Large pond with lots of aquatic vegetation, swampy sections and streams near wooded area.
A small (about 6) group of Hooded Mergansers was with this flock last week.
