I thought it was an anole, but wasn't sure because I've never seen one around here. I lived in the Outer Banks for awhile and used to see them there all the time. Thanks for the ID Rob!
Very interesting to see one of these in Lexington. They aren't native to Virginia. Also, if there's ever a lizard or reptile/amphibian you want to find an ID on, this site is the best resource for our state (and even they don't list brown anoles as present in VA): http://www.virginiaherpetologicalsociety...
