Description:

Flatid planthoppers are cosmopolitan in distribution. They are small to medium size plant-feeding insects. Adults of some species are brightly colored and easily identified but others require the use of ID keys and dissection. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flatidae

Habitat:

Spotted in a large semi-urban yard & garden next to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest.

Notes:

Variously referred to as (Flatid) leafhoppers or planthoppers.

I've got green, grey, white, orange and yellow ones so far :-)
