Description:

Medium sized black beetle with orange legs and antennae. Grooved carapace. Ground beetle.

Habitat:

Suburban backyard garden.

Notes:

These guys live in quantity in the garden. I found many of them when I was weeding. I finally was able to catch one to get good pictures. They tend to be pretty fast.
